On August 4, design lovers flocked to Nashville from all over the country for a fun-filled Creative Camp hosted by Gen Sohr of the beloved Pencil & Paper Co., sponsored by Viyet.
Gen invited attendees to a personal tour of her home, a renovated 1930s classic decorated with some of her favorite brands, fresh flowers, monogrammed linens, and twinkly garden lights out back. A Southern brunch (peaches & cream parfaits, anyone?) and festive cocktails were followed by casual discussions on all things interior design.
More than just a one-day design intensive, Gen also shared her advice on invaluable resources for spotting vintage treasures. Armed with Gen’s insights, we hopped a Hello Trolley and toured the town to visit some of Gen’s go-to hubs, featuring unique pillows, vases, plates, candles, books, and décor. The day was topped off with some healthy greens and tapas at the hip Little Octopus, followed by more vintage shopping around town, including a visit to Reese Witherspoon’s Draper James, all guided by Gen’s trustworthy eye. Out-of-town guests stayed overnight at the gorgeous, storied Noelle for an authentic downtown Nashville experience.
